Picture yourself as a celebrity, but keep your feet grounded.

Dressed up in heels, standing tall, did you ever picture your concrete floor transform into a runway? Do you pretend to catwalk in your school’s hallway, thinking in your head that it was actually Loreal’s Fashion Show ? Do you ever play a song with really good beats and walk to its tune like you were taking command of the stage? I do it all the time. Typical characteristic of a model: standing tall, taking long strides, heel before toes, one foot directly in front of another, swinging arms, brimming with confidence, looking straight ahead into your audience with the power and command like you will break anything that blocks your way. It is irrelevant whether or not you have the body for it: the question is: “Are you equipped with the confidence to have all eyes on you, and not be intimidated by it?”

When stepping out of your not-so-luxurious car, have you ever pictured the floor beneath you turn into a red carpet, as though you were making an entry  on a red carpet event?

When doing a presentation, did you ever pause, observe the audience and then blush, because in your head you pictured a crazy fan cheering for you? I did.

When reading the newspaper, do you ever start reading out loud, articulating all words clearly and precisely, as though you were a news anchor on a national news channel?

When shampooing your hair, or washing your face, do you ever read the details on the bottle like you were the official spokesperson for the product? I always do.

When talking to your friends and siblings do you often break into an over-dramatic dialogue to mock a scene in a movie? I’m not kidding about this, but  there is not enough darkness in the world to put off the light that is lit inside you. Nurture that celebrity that resides in you. Everything happens twice: first in your head, then in real life.  While you’re at it, remember to keep your feet grounded.
