Mosques. People. Kids. Mosques.

With Ramadan, my visits to the mosque have been frequent.  Recently we had an issue with some people complaining about loud kids running around and disturbing other people’s prayers.  So this is what they said: if the parents are not able to control the kids, someone else should just step in and help them out.  It worked like magic! I don’t know why and how it works, but it works.  Its called habituation. You listen to the same voice over and over and learn to ignore it. That is when you need a new voice to gently say the same thing.  It works on ducks as it does on humans.

Speaking of mosques, Aman & Bassam are trotting U.S.A’s mosques: 30 states in 30 days inshAllah. Neat project.  Check it out here.
